Students for Liberty is the largest pro-liberty movement of students in the world with a presence in more than 100 countries and every inhabited continent.
Ladies of Liberty Alliance is a network of independent, libertarian women leaders, who through their careers and personal endeavours, are dedicated to spreading ideas of individual liberty and free markets.
What is Samvad?
It is a space where you can put your thoughts and ideas in front of an audience which is willing to hear, reciprocate, and contemplate.
About the movie
This E-samvad is based on the movie One Child Nation, a 2019 American documentary film directed by Nanfu Wang and Jialing Zhang about the fallout of China’s one-child policy that lasted from 1979 to 2015. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2019, where it was awarded the U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Documentary Award, and was theatrically released in the United States on August 9, 2019, by Amazon Studios. The movie is available on amazon prime.
Some question that this movie raises is Can the State coerce or force individual? Do such welfare policies infringe liberties of individual? Is there an alternative solution for the problems where individual rights can be protected meanwhile achieving the goal? Let’s discuss and try to find the answers together!
