It’s a matter of privilege to call the Lok Sabha at Centre for Legal Studies, Gitarattan International Business School, Delhi on 28th– 29th November 2020.We extend our invitation and welcome you for this session of the Youth Parliament. The law-making bodies are required to discuss various local, national and international issues and then make suitable laws on them. The members of these bodies present all points of views and try to represent all kinds of interests related to a problem. An effort is always made to take such a decision as would please most and antagonise least. Such decisions are frequently taken by Parliament. The decisions of Parliament are important since they affect the whole country. Each one of us is affected by the decisions of Parliament. The decisions are the result of long drawn debates. For conducting debates in Parliament a detailed procedure of rules is followed and in the same line efforts are made by Centre for Legal Studies, Gitarattan International Business School, to conduct its 1st edition of National Youth Parliament Competition to be held on 28th– 29th November 2020 on virtual platform. The rules are based on democratic principles. By these rules, it is to ensure that everybody gets a chance to be heard and a proper decorum is maintained in the course of discussion that take place in Parliament.
Extensive discussion on the contemporary socio-political issues shall take place among Law and Non Law students participating across the nation and necessary outcomes shall enable the youth to think and design the newer policies and framework which shall help the society at large to grow.

LOK SABHA: REVIEWING THE RESERVATION POLICY WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON 10% RESERVATION FOR THE ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION.
Note: Eligibility to take part in this event shall only be for UG/PG students of recognised colleges and universities.
ABOUT THE ORGANISER
Centre for Legal Studies has been set up by Gitarattan International Business School in the year 2016 for imparting legal education. CLS-GIBS has been emerging as one of the prominent law schools of the country providing 5 years integrated programmes in BA LLB and BBA LLB.
Gitarattan International Business School (GIBS) was established in the year 2004. GIBS is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and is approved by Bar Council of India for Law programmes and All India Council for Technical Education for Management programmes. GIBS is currently offering programmes viz. MBA, MBA-IB, MCA(I), BBA LLB(I), BA LLB(I) and BBA (1st & 2nd Shift).
GIBS has been graded ‘A’ by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2nd Cycle. GIBS has been rated ‘A+’ by State Fee Regulatory Committee, a fee committee of Govt. of NCT of Delhi & rated highest grading ‘A’ by Joint Inspection Committee of Govt. of NCT of Delhi & GGSIP University. GIBS has been rated Grade ‘A’ by Academic Audit Cell of GGSIP University consecutively from past 8 Years. Also, GIBS has been rated as no. 2 PAN INDIA by Times Business School Survey, consecutively for the year 2018 & 2019.

•The Registration Fee is non refundable.
•Anonymity is our priority, so the delegate must enter the meeting room with their respective portfolio names and not by their own names.
•Dress code- Decent Business Formals or in accordance with the portfolio.
•The cameras of all the delegates must be switched on and the microphone must be muted unless EB allows. If there is any genuine reason for the cameras to be switched off, it should be prior intimated to the organizing team.
•Any kind of nuisance, vulgar language, non parliamentary language would directly lead to disqualification.
•CLS-GIBS reserves the right to alter or change the rules or the procedure of the event.
•No request for the change of the portfolio would be entertained.
•Non-compliance of the rules, would lead to disqualification of the members on the discretion of the judges.
•English shall be the official and working language of the committee during formal and informal debate.
•Use of Webcam/Face Camera (Device used by participant) while speaking is mandatory
•Every participant has to make sure that they have a proper internet connection with Camera and Microphone. In case of poor signals or black out from participants, they will not be given any additional time or any other compensation. And it shall be deemed that the participant goes away from the event. CLS-GIBS shall not be held responsible for connectivity issues of any kind.
Note: The Rule Book shall be given to the participants after Registration.
