INTRODUCTION:-
The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is a national law university located in Bangalore. It was the first national law university to be established in India as well as one of the first in the country to offer the five-year integrated undergraduate law degree. The National Law School of India University was established by a statute passed by the Legislative Assembly of the state of Karnataka. The statute states that the Chief Justice of India serves as the school’s chancellor.Prof Sudhir Krishnaswamy is the Vice-Chancellor of National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU).

COURSES OFFERED:-
NLSIU offers B.A.LL.B.(Hons)at the UG level..Students from the 5th year of the undergraduate course can take the opportunity to spend a semester abroad as part of the student exchange program run by the NLSIU.

NLS has been ranked No.1 in the NIRF rankings in 2018,2019 and 2020.

CAMPUS:-
The 23-acre green and leafy campus includes state of the art classrooms, the best law library in India- Shri Narayana Rao Melgiri National Law Library and clean and well-maintained hostels for men and women. There are appointed gymnasium, football pitches, tennis and basketball courts. The University maintains high quality wireless connectivity throughout the campus. The moot court hall is named after the former VicePresident and Chief Justice of India Justice Hidayatullah.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:-

PLACEMENTS:-
The university has a placement cell and the placements usually take place from January to March every year. In the academic year 2019-20, 44 placements were made on the Day Zero and23 students got pre-placement offers. The placements of this college are improving year by year. As of 2018, 37 students got placed in various organisations or companies, whereas, in 2019, the number has been increased to 44.Graduates of the University have excelled in various fields. Several graduates are admitted to postgraduate programmes at Ivy League Universities in the US, Oxford and Cambridge in the UK and several other Universities around the world. From 1996, 20 graduates have secured Rhodes Scholarships and several more have been selected for other scholarship opportunities.

COMPETITIONS:-
The moot court society organises the NLS-Trilegal International Arbitration Moot, which is sponsored by Trilegal and has the privilege of hosting the best Universities from India and abroad. It also organises the India Funding Rounds of Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot to select the Indian teams for the Asia Pacific Regional Rounds of the Moot. NLSIU also hosts South Asia’s biggest Parliamentary Debate Competition,the inaugural edition of which was held in 2002.The Adr cell of Nlsiu conducts “NLS National Mediation and client counseling Competition’ which is also a qualifier for the ICC Mediation Week, Paris and International Negotiation Competition.

INTRODUCTION:-

The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), is a National Law University located in ShamirpetSecunderabadHyderabad North, India. It was established in 1998 by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly (Act 34 of 1998) by the state of Andhra Pradesh. The chancellor of Nalsar university of law is chief Justice of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad and the Vice-Chancellor is Professor Faizan Mustafa.

COURSES OFFERED:-

NALSAR offers a five-year integrated B.A LL.B.(Hons.) program. Admission to the undergraduate program is on the basis of the Common Law Admission Test.With only 120 seats offered at NALSAR, the program is considered highly selective. To obtain the degree, students are required to accumulate 200 credits from a mix of mandatory, elective and seminar courses. Foundational courses in History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology and English have to be completed to fulfil the BA part of the degree. In addition, students are required to earn nine credits by choosing from a vibrant list of social science seminars offered by home and visiting faculty.

Nalsar ranked 3rd in the year 2019 and 2020 in the NIRF rankings.

CAMPUS:-

The campus is spread over 50 acres and is located 26 kilometers away from the city of Hyderabad. Students are provided with double occupancy rooms in the Halls of Residence with a common Dining Hall facility. Subject to availability, some single rooms may be allotted to senior students. The Halls of Residence have common room facilities including a functional Gym, provision for Indoor Games, Badminton courts and Television. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with State of Art internet architecture with a minimum dedicated broadband speed of 20 Mbps which supports 4G video calling. The Library has a rich collection of books, journals (printed and electronic) and e-databases. NALSAR also has a state-of-art Moot Court Hall, video conferencing facilities, a football stadium, two tennis courts, and separate basketball and volleyball courts for boys and girls. All buildings, including the Halls of Residence, are powered with diesel generators for twenty-four hour power back-up. The University has a Health Centre with a Medical Officer, Gynaecologist, Dentist and two Resident Nurses along with one Lab Technician. In addition, the University has a Counselling Centre. The library has a depository of UN collections.

PLACEMENTS:-

The 2020 batch of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad recorded a total of 47 job offers and vacation schemes/training contracts as of the recently concluded Day Zero.In addition to this, 23 students have bagged pre-placement offers at various law firms. A total of 8 training contracts/vacation schemes were offered to NALSAR students by international firms.The 2019 Batch had secured 52 offers from domestic and international law firms, various corporate houses, and PSUs in the recruitment drive which amounted to 100% placement.Students have also been offered opportunities to study abroad at various international universities including the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, Cornell Law School, University of Chicago Law School, University of Pennsylvania Law School, and New York University.

COMPETITIONS:-

The NALSAR Intervarsity Debating Championship is the pioneer of the British Parliamentary Debating format in India. The NALSAR IV is aimed at exposing debaters to the most competitive standards of adjudication. The NALSAR IV has now earned the name to be one of the most prestigious debating championships in India.

Every year, the moot court society of Nalsar holds the NALSAR Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition.As of 2020,it has completed 13 editions. In 2019,the moot court society of NALSAR also organised the first edition of NALSAR Public International Law Moot.NALSAR’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) organised the first NALSAR Mediation Tournament in 2019.

INTRODUCTION:-

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) was established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IXof 1999). It is a university as per sub-section (f) of section 2 and section 12-B of the UGC Act, 1956 and has permanent affiliation from the Bar Council of India. The Chief Justice of India is the Chancellor of the University and Chairman of its highest governing body – the General Council.

 COURSES OFFERED:-

It offers two UG academic programmes including the five-year integrated B.A. LLB and B.Sc. LL.B (Hons.). The academic year is divided into two semesters of equal duration, which are followed by examinations at the end of each semesterThe courses combine purely legal theories with social sciences, to provide students with a holistic appreciation of law in its interaction with society from a multi-disciplinary perspective. These include inter alia Gender and Law, Law and Public Policy, Law and Development, Corporate Finance, International 3 4 Commercial Arbitration, Securities Law, Judicial Review, Competition Law, Nuclear Law, International Human Rights Law, Sports Law and Law and Economics, which give students the opportunity to specialize in their preferred areas of study. In principle, only foundational courses are compulsory while all the rest are electives. Different forms of evaluation including open-book exams, seminars, research papers, tutorials and courtroom exercises are used in these courses. Grading of results is done on a seven-point scale. The students are also encouraged to participate in serious research, writing and academic scholarship through the medium of the University’s in-house law journals and publications.

 RANKING:-

 It stood 6th in the NIRF rankings and 5th in the 2019 NIRG rankings.

CAMPUS:-

NUJS is located in the city of Kolkata, a major metropolis of India. The campus itself comprises of one academic and three residential blocks (i.e. two seven-storied halls of residence for girls and boys each and a two-storied staff accommodation quarters NUJS has also received adjacent land of 3025.75 sq. metres for construction of additional hostel facilities, staff quarters, conference rooms, guest house and other amenities for the students. The Academic Block, named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, is a four-storied majestic edifice in stone, having 105 rooms in all. The NUJS campus provides all modern amenities— air-conditioned classrooms of varying sizes, seminar halls, conference rooms, moot court hall and an air-conditioned auditorium (with a seating capacity of approximately six hundred) doctors room, and other facilities. The highlight of NUJS is a well-stocked, digitized, air-conditioned library, with access to over 45,000 volumes on law, economics, politics, etc., national and international journals and all major online internet resources for law and other related social science subjects.The NUJS campus also includes a bank, a canteen, state-of the-art kitchens at the hostel, health care, sports facilities including air-conditioned gym and various other recreational facilities. All student hostels are wired with Internet access through dedicated leased lines and Wifi. The University also has a computer centre with around 100 computers.

 The total fees of WBJNUS for the first year is Rs. 196200.

FINANCIAL  ASSISTANCE:-

With generous donations from individual donors and institutions, the University has built up a Scholarship Fund, proceeds of which are disbursed to students every year on a “need” basis. The Government of West Bengal has provided the University with a generous grant for revenue expenditure including supporting the ‘means-cummerit scholarship’ granted by the University. Out of a total grant of Rupees Crores, Rupees 40 lakhs has been set aside for supporting scholarship programs.). The alumni of NUJS have also instituted many scholarships.

PLACEMENTS:-

WBJNUS recorded the highest number of placements across all National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country for the graduating Batch of 2019. A total of 121 job offers were made to the Batch with many students receiving multiple job offers. A total of 90 students accepted job offers excluding the students who had standing job offers but decided to opt for alternative career options. The average annual packages offered by foreign law firms ranged from INR 42-46 lakhs and by top domestic law firms ranged from INR 15-18 lakhs. Students joining companies in the role of in-house counsels received packages ranging from INR 12-14 lakhs.NUJS Kolkata offers placements for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The 2020 graduating batch had placed 65 students on the Day Zero of placements out of which 33-35 students have accepted PPOs and approximately 40 offers were accepted by 30 studentsPlacements record of 2017 and 2018 batch was 100%.

Student societies of NUJS organize five major annual events — the literary-cumcultural extravaganza- Outlawed, the national sports festival- Invicta, the NUJS-Herbert Smith National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition, Justice Dr. BP Saraf National Tax Moot Court Competition and the NUJS Parliamentary Debate.

INTRODUCTION:-

The National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU), was established by the Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, Act No. 41 of 1997, by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature substituted by Act No. 06 of 2018. NLIU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and the Bar Council of India. NLIU is the Second National Law School established after NLSIU, Bangalore. Dr V Vijayakumar is the Vice Chancellor of NLIU Bhopal.

COURSES OFFERED:-

Duration of B.A.LL.B (Hons.) course is five years. There are three Trimesters in a year and each Trimester is of three months duration. In each Trimester, students are taught four core subjects. To ensure continuous learning there is a system of continuous evaluation. In each Trimester there is a midterm examination, an end term examination and a project work (written and presentation) in each paper and a viva-voce examination. The maximum duration for completion of this course is seven years.

RANKING:-

Nliu stood 17th and 11th in the year 2020 and 2019 respectively in the NIRF rankings.

CAMPUS:-

The NLIU campus is situated on the side of a hillock near Kerwa Lake on the Kerwa Dam Road, Bhadbhada in the city of Bhopal. The new campus complex includes the Academic Block, the Auditorium and the Gyan Mandir.

The entire University campus has wireless internet facility. There are eleven Centers of Excellence.Class Rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with LED/LCD projectors, Smart Boards and other facilities. University has an air-conditioned computer lab.Besides there are video conferencing facilities, auditorium, seminar halls, conference rooms, etc. There are four hostels two each for men and women and a well furnished canteen on the campus. Recently, it has a 900 seat capacity Convention centre, named Justice J. S. Verma Memorial Convention Centre, with the state of the art facility. Indoor sport facilities include state-of-the art gymnasium, badminton courts, table tennis and pool game, outdoor facilities include tennis courts, volleyball courts and basketball court.

FEE STRUCTURE:-

The fees of NLIU Bhopal amount to approximately 1.8 lakhs per.annum(exclusive of one-time charges.)(Note:As per the order of the Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Welfare, Govt. of M.PBhopal the candidates belonging SC/ST and OBC categories of M.P. are eligible to get reimbursement of certain fees and charges from the government of India or government of M.P. as the case may be.)

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:-

There are two Merit cum Means Scholarships one in the memory of Late Justice J. S. Verma and the other in the name of the University. The scholarships cover full tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of the B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Course. In the first year of the course the scholarships are awarded to the NLIU students securing highest marks in CLAT. From second year to fifth year the scholarships are awarded to the students securing highest marks (without repeat) in the NLIU examinations of first year, second year, third year and fourth year.

PLACEMENTS:-

A total of 41 students were placed in law firms across the country in the year 2018.the average annual package offered by top domestic law firms ranged mostly from Rs. 15-18 lakh per annum.A total of 20 students bagged in-house roles and jobs at various other organisations. A number of students work with senior lawyers of Supreme Court & High Courts.A number of students get selected for the prestigious Clerkship programme of the Supreme Court of India. Some others go for higher studies to universities like, Oxford University, Cambridge University, Harvard University, Columbia University, University of London, New York University, National University of Singapore, etc.

COMPETITIONS:-

NLIU organizes three Moot Court competitions annually i.e. the NLIU-Link Legal Client Counseling Competition, NLIU National Corporate Law Moot and Justice R. K. Tankha Memorial International Moot Court Competition and other moot court competitions from time to time. NLIU also hosts the prestigious NLIU-INADR International Mediation Competition annually. NLIU students participate in international moot Court competitions every year and have brought laurels to the University

INTRODUCTION:-

National Law University-Jodhpur (NLUJ) is one of India’s leading Law Schools situated at the vibrant and colourful city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. NLUJ has constantly been ranked as one of the top law schools in India. The pay packages offered by national law firms range between Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 16 lakh per annum, whereas, international law firms have offered packages between Rs. 28 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh per annum in the previous year. The pay packages of corporates range between Rs. 4.5 lakh to Rs. 11 lakh per annum for the previous year. Students have also been successful in undertaking Judicial Clerkship at the Hon’ble Supreme CourtFor the batch of 2020, the Day Zero of recruitment at NLU Jodhpur has yielded confirmation of 42 job offers. A total of 8 law firms offered 29 jobs on Day Zero, out of which 16 job offers were accepted by the students. 3 students were offered vacant schemes at two international law firms. The total number of PPOs available at Day Zero was 23. The maximum hiring was done by Trilegal.As of 2019,42 jobs were offered on Day Zero of placement .Highest salary package offered was 30 LPA.A  total number of 23 PPOs were available at the Day Zero.International law firm Linklaters offered 2 vacation schemes in London.

COMPETITIONS:-

The University has been hosting the M.M. Singhvi Bar Council of India Trust Moot Court Competition, organised to commemorate the memory of the late M.M. Singhvi, a lawyer in India. Teams from almost all law colleges in the country participate in the Competition and since 2007, the competition has turned international with even teams from outside India participating in the Competition.The University also hosted the North Indian rounds of the Stetson Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, which is another Moot Court Competition. Apart from this, the University has also hosted the Surana & Surana National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition.In February 2010 the Moot Court Committee of the University hosted the First NLU AntiTrust Law Moot Court Competition. The specialised theme for this Moot Court Competition is AntiTrust Law, also known as Competition Law. It also organises an inter-university constitutional law essay writing competition. The adr cell hosts the deal mediation competition,the second edition of which is to be held in August 2020.

It has a residential campus.The law school has a specialized incubation centre to mentor law graduates aiming to be legal entrepreneurs. In a bid to instil business skills to start a legal venture, the law school has set centre on the lines on top B-schools. It is the first legal incubation centre of its kind in India.The Indian Legal History Museum housed at GNLU is aiming to represent the development of civilization in India by exhibiting artefacts of legal heritage. It is the first legal history museum in India.The museum is divided into three floors, each floor designed in chronological sequence to trace and learn the legal systems of various timelines linesResearch centres present at GNLU, function in niche areas of economy for the dissemination of specialized knowledge and professional excellence. Out of 82 students registered for the placement, 49 students got placed ahead of their graduation in May 2020with an annual package of 15 lakh INR. The Moot court committee conducts three inter-university moot court competitions, namely the GNLU International Moot Court Competition (GIMC), the GNLU Moot on Securities and Investment Law (GNLUMSIL), and the NHRC-GNLU National Moot Court Competition (NHRC-GNLU NMCC)in collaboration with various law firms and government institutions

The ADR cell of GNLU held the first edition of Litigation week from 16th to 22nd March 2020 which included trial Advocacy Moot Court Competition,Judgement Writing Competition,PIL Drafting Competition,Certificate course on “Practical Insights into stages of a trial”,Quizzes and Panel Discussions. The debating society of GNLU organises two debates namely the GNLU Debate following the asian PD pattern and the GNLU open debate tournament. The GNLU debate has completed 7 editions.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University was established by an Act of Legislature of Uttar Pradesh in 2005 (U.P. Act No. 28 of 2005) .The University became functional in July, 2006. The vice-chancellor is Dr. Sahil Singh.

FINANCIAL  ASSISTANCE:-

Scholarships to the candidates of SC/ST/OBC of Uttar Pradesh and also to the students of unreserved categories having family income less than `2.00 lac per annum are available under various schemes of the Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Students of these categories are also eligible for reimbursement of their annual fee subject to fulfilment of the conditions. Under the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education scheme,five eligible students of SC/ST category are provided scholarships which include reimbursement of full tuition fee and living expenses. Reimbursement/partial reimbursement of tuition fee along with other financial incentives is also available under UGC Scheme of ‘Free Education for Sports Medal Winner/Participants of National/International Events’. Scholarships are also available for SAP Category students under various schemes of National Handicapped Finance Development Corporation (NHFDC).

PLACEMENTS:-

Although the institute does not have recognition for being the best institute out there for corporate placements but is the preferred choice for candidates wanting to pursue a career in litigation, civil services or judicial services owing to the sheer amount of creative freedom compared to other NLUs.There is an increasing trend where our students are opting for higher studies abroad in some of the world’s prestigious Universities like Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Michigan, University of London, New York, San Francisco, Leiden NYU, Singapore and McGill.

RMLNLU has placed 45 students out of 150 in the year 2019. 15 students secured their job through the campus placement & the remaining 30 students accepted Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). The campus placement includes 7 job offers from legal process outsourcer, 2 job offers from HDFC bank, 1 offer from LPO OSC Gurugram, 3 job offers from publisher Eastern Book Company & one offer from Torrent Power.

COMPETITIONS:-

The Ram Manohar Lohia Parliamentary Debate (RML PD) is the flagship debating tournament conducted annually by the Debate and Discussion Committee of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.It has had 8 editions as of 2020.The RMLNLU National Mediation Competition, being the oldest domestic Alternate Dispute Resolution competition in South Asia, is one of the major national mediation competitions across India. The Competition witnesses a remarkable participation of 32 teams from almost all laws schools across India. The VI edition of the Competition was organized from 17th to 19th January 2020.Every year, the moot court committee of RMLNLU organises the RMLNLU SCC Online International Media Law Moot Court Competition.

    The National Law University Odisha (NLUO) is a vibrant addition to the chain of national law universities in the country. The University has received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 12(b) of the UGC Act 1956, and has been receiving grants under the XIIth Plan. It is also an associate member of the UGC-INFLIBNET, and a participant in the National Knowledge Network under the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication, Government of India. The founding Vice Chancellor of NLUO was Faizan Mustafa. Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao is the present Vice-Chancellor of the University.

    The National Law University Odisha offers scholarships to deserving and needy students from second year onwards keeping in view their financial status, need and their academic achievement(s).     PLACEMENTS:-

    At NLUO Odisha, placements are handled by RCC (Recruitment Coordination Committee). 82 students of the 2016 batch sat for placements, out of which 40 students are placed at various law firms or companies. In addition to the above table, 10 students got recruited by litigations at the chambers of various lawyers, 2 students placed for judicial clerkships & 2 students have been awarded, LAMP fellowships.   • INTRODUCTION:-

    Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) is a public law school and a National Law University located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established in 2006 by the Punjab Government (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006) as a university dedicated to the field of Legal Education. The institution is currently headed by Dr. Paramjit S. Jaswal. RGNUL is the first National Law University which has been awarded ‘A’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) after rigorous assessment based on various quality parameters.

    COURSES OFFERED:-

    RGNUL offers B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) five-year integrated programme in which Social Sciences subjects like Economics, English, History, Political Science and Sociology are taught as major and minor subjects along with Law subjects in the first three years of study. From third year onwards, the curriculum comprises law subjects. All subjects are compulsory in the first three years of study except choice for combination of major and minor subjects.     Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) was established under the Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh, Act, (No. 10 of 2003) 2003. It has been named after one of the great legal luminaries of India Justice Mohammad Hidayatullah.HNLU is the first National Level Institute established in the new State of Chhattisgarh in the year 2003 and was the sixth among the current law universities established in the country. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Mishra, Judge, Supreme Court of India is the Visitor and Hon’ble Mr. Justice P.R. Ramachandra Menon, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh is the Chancellor. Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan is the ViceChancellor of the University.

    COURSES:-

    The Five-Year Integrated B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Program offered by the University is in complete conformity with the Bar Council of India Guidelines. The university follows a semester system in its undergraduate program, with the students studying a total of 56 papers in 5 years. The university earlier had a system of students declaring a major (Political ScienceSociology or Economics), but currently it offers a single major, Political Science. In the 4th and 5th year, students have to choose two honors papers. All students are also required to study six optional papers during their 4th and 5th year.

    CAMPUS:-

    The circular academic and administrative block has been built on the design of the Parliament of India and is fully equipped with the State-of-the-art infrastructure, modern teaching aids and equipment important for academic pursuits. It has a unique Amphitheatre at its center which is like the Amphitheatre of Athens (Greece). The Amphitheatre can accommodate more than 1000 people at a time and is tastefully used for cultural activities/common gatherings. It also has an air-conditioned Conference Hall having acoustic treatment and a seating capacity of 400 persons. The University has 21 air-conditioned classrooms fitted with modern teaching aids and equipment which create a quality academic environment. It has a well-equipped and fully air-conditioned Computer Lab with internet facility. The Computer Lab is furnished with computers, modern furniture / cubicles. The Law Studio is under commission and will be operational from July 2020. The University provides a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus with a dedicated team of IT professionals working round the clock. The language lab equipped with modern gadgets and learning tools helps in improving the writing and presentation skills of the students. The university has newly constructed Women Facility Centre, Hostel for Female Research Scholars, Guest House, Canteen, Full-fledged Bank, two ATMs and Utility Centre.As a fully residential university, HNLU has separate Halls of Residence for boys and girls.The University has a full-fledged football ground, Cricket field, law tennis, two basketball courts and one volleyball court.The structure of the University library is similar to the library of London School of Economics.

    56 students of the batch that graduated in 2018 were placed.In addition to this, 6 students were admitted for higher studies at various foreign universities like Queen Mary University, London, Vienna International School of Studies, University of Melbourne, and Cambridge University, among others.Students from HNLU mostly opt for LLMs.

    The university has also been regularly organizing since 2007 the Justice Hidayatullah Memorial National Moot Court Competition (HNMCC) on an annual basis to promote the culture of mooting among the students. It also organises article writing and judgment writing competitions.

    PLACEMENTS:-

    CNLU, Patna has a Recruitment Committee Cell (RCC), which is managed by the students itself. In 2014 batch, the college had placed a total of 24 students.rom the 24 students placed, 59% of the students are recruited by the law firms and 8% of the students got placed at supreme courts.12 students have opted for LLM out of which 4 students opted for LLM from foreign universities like Washington University & the University of Essex. LPOs & in-house counsel have recruited 15 candidates including the clerkships & litigations.

    COMPETITIONS:-

    The moot court society in collaboration with the Bar Council of India conducts the BCI- All India Inter-University Moot Court Competition. As of 2020, it has completed 36 editions of this prestigious moot. It also organises the CNLU National Parliamentary Debate.In the year 2019, it hosted Vidhika- the 1st CNLU National Legal Aid Fest.

  • INTRODUCTION:-

    The National University of Advanced Legal Studies Kochi (NUALS Kochi) was founded in 2009 by a Statute of the State of Kerala. It is located in the industrial capital of Kerala and the seat of the Kerala high court, the 10-acre plot in the Kinfra Hi-Tech Park at Kalamassery.  The Chief Justice of India is the Visitor and the Chief Justice of Kerala, the Chancellor of NUALS. In 2008, an amendment streamlined the powers and functions of the authorities of the University and ensured the active involvement of the Government of Kerala.

    COURSES:-

    NUALS offers a Five Year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Programme. From the 2009 Admissions the course is offered under the Choice Based Credit & Semester System. Besides the subjects identified by the Bar Council of India for the Five Year Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree, NUALS envisages such courses on frontier areas of law as Maritime Transactions, Psychological Medicine and Law, Media and Telecommunications Law, Forensic Science, History of Statutory Presumptions and Descriptive Statistics

    CAMPUS:-

    The NUALS Campus is situated at Kalamassery, Kochi, the industrial capital of Kerala and the seat of the Kerala High Court. At present, the Campus consists of an Academic Block which includes the Moot Court Hall, an Amenities Centre, Faculty Apartments, Hostels for boys and girls, a computer lab, a well- equipped Library with all on-line journals, an Administrative Block, an Auditorium and a state-of the art Seminar Hall. The Administrative Block and the Library Block, were constructed with the assistance from the UGC and the State Government. The NUALS campus provides adequate academic infrastructure – dedicated Internet access, WiFi Connectivity with VPN facility, online legal resources including SCC Online, Hein Online, Westlaw, Manupatra, CDJ Law Journal, Taxman (Indian & International), Kluwer Arbitration, LexisNexis and Lloyd Law Report, a computer lab, besides a good collection of standard books and reports, both foreign and Indian. The University provides facilities such as Health Club including Gym, Table Tennis and other indoor games besides facilities provided for Football/Cricket/Basketball/Volleyball.The University has its own 15 research centres for different fields such as Law, Agriculture, Property Rights, Human Rights, Economics, Health, Legal Education and more.

    The intake for the B. A. LL. B. (Hons.) Degree Course for the academic year 2020-21 shall be 60. The seats shall be apportioned as follows, as per the reservation criteria adopted by the Government of Kerala for admission to professional courses:

    The Central Government of India offers scholarships to the students through its national scholarship scheme. Kerala state government also extends scholarship to the reserved category students provided that they are the domicile of the state.

    Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) is a National Law University located at Sabbavaram, VisakhapatnamAndhra PradeshIndia constituted by the DSNLU Act, 2008.  It was first named as “Andhra Pradesh of University Law” which was later changed to “Damodram Sanjivyya National Law University” in the year 2012.     COURSES OFFERED:

    The University offers Five Year Integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)  to eligible Undergraduate students based on the Common Law Admission Test centralized admission process.     Out of a total of 138 seats, 66 are reserved for students from the state of Andhra Pradesh, 54for all India General category, 12 for NRI and foreign national candidates and 06 for wards of Jammu and Kashmir migrants.

MNLU Mumbai is developing its own campus on 60 acres of land as allotted by the state government and will be shifting soon.MNLU Mumbai is located in the coveted Hiranandani Gardens, Powai has wide exposure to the sprawling urban facilities of Mumbai city. The campus location is in proximity to IIT Bombay and is 13 km from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The centrally air-conditioned floors of the Academic block have all essential amenities like smart classrooms, library, reading room, moot court hall, mediation centre, legal service clinic, internship cell, boardroom and conference hall etc., ideal for optimizing the students’ learning, research, training and extension activities. The University facilitates access to a well-equipped library with a large number of books, law journals, magazines and subscription to multiple online databases such as JStor, Hein Online, SCC Online, Manupatra OUP and Westlaw. Page | 3 The Government of Maharashtra has identified 50 acres of land for MNLU Mumbai at Pahadi, Goregaon for raising a spacious State-of-the-Art Campus.     Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU, Nagpur) was established by the Government of Maharashtra by way of enactment known as the Maharashtra National Law University Act (Maharashtra Act No. VI of 2014). Hon’ble Shri Justice S.A. Bobde, Chief Justice of India is the Chancellor of the University. It is a residential university engaged in teaching and promoting research in law and allied disciplines. The university is the nineteenth National Law University established in the country located in the Orange City of Nagpur and the eighteenth in the CLAT pool.

    COURSES:-

    The university offers B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Degree Course .Clinical legal education and moot court exercises are an integral component of the academic curriculum of the university through which students understand how to appreciate practical socio-economic and legal issues and help the society at large. The course curriculum promotes an interdisciplinary approach with integration between law, social sciences and humanities. The University follows a semester system .The university introduced a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) for the undergraduate degree course. The students are required to earn a total of 200 credit points spread out through the course of five years; Further, the course structure is designed to impart 42 (forty-two) compulsory papers, 02 (two) clinical papers and 06 (six) optional papers. A wide range of optional papers will also be offered to the students.

    CAMPUS:-

    The university has started its operation in the year 2016 from the temporary campus at Judicial Officers Training Institute (JOTI), Civil lines, Nagpur and continued in the same campus till June 2017. At present, the university is functioning from a rented premise of around 38,000 sq. 3 ft. built-up area in Khapri, Wardha road, Nagpur. The Halls of Residence for the students are two kilometres away from the present university premises. The University and Halls of Residence are fully Wi-Fi enabled. The university provides transportation facility between the Halls of Residence and the University. The sanctioned permanent campus of the university is located at Waranga, Nagpur (rural) on a sprawling 60 acres of land provided by the Government of Maharashtra. It is about 12 kilometres from the Nagpur Airport. The proposed campus would have a unique blend of state-of-the-art facilities, student-centric academic and non-academic facilities and barrier-free design. The campus will be sustainable and self-sufficient to the possible extent.The university has developed its own library within a very short span of time with physical copy of more than 15,000 titles.

    The ADR Society of the University in association with AIR Law Academy and Research Centre, Nagpur and Forum of South Asian Clinical Law Teachers organised Louis M. Brown and Forrest S.     Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad (MNLU Aurangabad, MNLUA) is a National Law University located at AurangabadMaharashtraIndia. It was established in 2017 by the Government of Maharashtra, the third and final university to be installed through the Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014following Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai and Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur, the 21st National Law University in India. The Chancellor of the university is R. Banumathi, Judge of the Supreme Court of India[3] and the Vice-Chancellor is K. V. S.     COURSES:-

    The University made a modest beginning by offering B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) course from the academic year 2017-18.Clinical legal education is an integral component of the academic curriculum of the university through which students understand how to appreciate practical socio-economic and legal issues and help the needy. The course curriculum promotes an interdisciplinary approach integrating law, social sciences and humanities. The University follows a semester system The students are required to earn a total of 200 credit points spread out through the course of five years; however the students shall be allowed to earn more credits from the courses offered by the external experts from time to time. Further, course structure is designed to impart 42 (forty two) compulsory papers, 02 (two) clinical papers and 06 (six) optional papers. A wide range of optional papers would also be offered to the students.

    CAMPUS:-

    The University initially started on the campus of Govt. College of Education (Govt. B. Ed College) Campus at Padampura, Station Road, Aurangabad. The University has provided decent hostel facilities for boys and girls at Kanchanwadi covered premises. Bus service has been arranged for students from Kanchanwadi premises to B. Ed. College Campus. Further, theGovt.ofMaharashtrahasallotted50acresoflandforthedevelopmentofnewcampus. The construction of a new campus is underway in the green lush part of the city.

    The total intake to the programme is 60 (sixty) students which includes 14 seats for unreserved category and 44 seats for various subcategories for the students of Maharashtra domicile.

    HPNLU Shimla offers B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Programmes, comprising courses in Law, Management and Social Sciences. Under the B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme, Economics is the ‘major’ course. Under the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme, students have the option to choose one from amongst, Economics, Political Science, and Sociology, as their ‘major’ course (from the Academic Sessions 2020-2021). The study of management/social science subjects are complete by the sixth semester. All subjects are compulsory in the first three years of study except choice for combination of major and minor subjects offered. In the last four Semesters, students are offered specializations in four streams/groups, viz. Constitutional Law, Business Law, Crime & Criminology, and International Law.     Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU) has been established by the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Ordinance, 2018. The chancellor is the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court and the vice-chancellor is Prof. Balraj Chauhan. It had its first academic session in the year 2018-19.
